The specuilation and reports have been confirmed: "Executive producer Yoshinori Ono confirmed that Alex, Guile, Balrog, Ibuki, Juri, and Urien will be added to the game during his appearance at the PlayStation Experience keynote. Those who prefer to purchase their content immediately instead of collecting in-game currency will be able to take advantage of a season pass that provides access to each of these characters as they launch. The package is priced at $29.99 (€29.99, £24.99), and each character will come with a premium costume to add to the value" JURI, JURI, JURI!!!!!!! I will save every in game currency I earn until I have enough to unlock her. Why pay $30.00 for what I can get for free? P.S. Pease put some clothes on Urien Capcom, I would appreciate it.
O.K. Now i'm not the type of person to get super irritated about a character when I havn't even played them but..I'll just ask. Am I the only one who thinks the character design on fang is absofreakinglutely rediculous?! I understand that most characters aren't realistic (Blanka) but cummon, his face/head is longer than a horses. He looks SOOOOO out of place amongst the street fighter roster. Gon in Tekken 3 fit in better in that game and he was a knee high dinasour!
FANG looks like how I thought he would. Only stretched out in Photoshop. Ken Bogard got another one wrong but 2 out 4 isn't bad.
FANG > Twelve, Seth, Rufus, El Furte, Abel, Hakkan, Well lets just say everyone new to For that isn't Viper or Juri.
So now yet another special edition of SFV is coming out. The "Hot package" (for Japan only) This version will include both the bearded Ryu and hair down Chun-Li pre-order costumes that many are familiar with. Not only that, but this edition will also feature special cover art that focuses on Ryu and Chun-Li in their aforementioned alternate digs. This premium edition will run you 8,990 yen, plus tax. You can check out the cover art & the recent trailer showing off Ryu and Chun's Street Fighter 5 alternate costumes, along with Cammy and Bison's below.
Here's some actual gameplay (about 1/2 hour) of FANG gameplay...ok, so I am admittedly more interested now. http://www.ign.com/videos/2015/12/10/street-fighter-5-fang-exhibition-combofiend-vs-mike-ross sorry, I could not get the media to embed.
So it looks like SFV may have a Normal Priority system like SF III 3rd strike did..interesting. Of course, nothing is for sure till the final version releases. If true, then a guy can't just spam light punch or kick when corner trapped & expect to get out of danger. From Event Hubs: It seems that Street Fighter 5 has a normal move priority system, which is something that's very rare for Capcom fighting games, only appearing in Street Fighter 3 Third Strike. Most hardcore fighting game players know that frame data and hitboxes are what dictate whether a move wins or loses, but it appears like a build of Street Fighter 5 actually has a priority system. PeriodikoSF recorded a terrific video which runs through several scenarios, and shows how he believes that Street Fighter 5 has a normal priority system — which causes more powerful moves to beat out weaker attacks, in what would otherwise be a trading hit scenario. Not only does this cause heavy attacks to beat medium, and medium to beat light, but you also score a counter hit, leading to some damaging possibilities. For example, in Street Fighter 4, if the active frames of your light punch clash with the active frames of your opponent's medium punch, you'll trade. In SF5, the medium punch will cleanly beat the light every time. We will be testing this priority system further when beta #3 officially launches to make sure it's still in the game. If this all holds up, and there isn't something else weird going on here, this is an amazing discovery that will have huge implications in the game. Here's an animated sequence with a short bit, but you can find the entire video below.
SFV really does look like SFIII in everything BUT having actual SFIII Characters. Which is going to change very soon.
For those hoping Akuma will be in SFV..I'm afraid he's way too busy being a major character in the Tekken universe right now.
Well I like Akuma....and I like Tekken. Almost more than SF but I SUCK at Tekken (ask CDages he's done battle with me) But the trade better be DLC Nina in SFV since she's not in Tekken 7
There's obviously some real trading going on after the SF X Tekken agreement so I don't think it's an impossibility. Wish more had happened between Capcom and SNK back when they did the crossovers.
