The Pain of not having a PS4 is real right now. I should have gotten my new TV and PS4 months ago so I could be part of the Beta on another note Necalli's theme is EPIC
Got into the Beta, Totally suck at laura but she sure is fun to look at..lol. Very surprised that she's the only new character compared to the previous beta's so far. not sure if Gief or Dhalism will be included.
Here's 3 good Laura combo and tech vids that show what she's about. http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/...eck-out-all-laura-tech-street-fighter-5-beta/
I did see on the net where the way she does a few moves or the camera angle has changed. She wasn't available for me when I played the last Beta so can't confirm. I don't think friday afternoon counted as one of the 4 betas..hopefully we still have 2 left that will last 2 or more days.
I think it was Niche Gamer, The site owner kind of loses his shit over things like that. Maybe it's a non issue, or a creative decsion to leave Mika to the imagination since she shows enough as it is.
Thanks for the complaint. It's because of shit like this they changed Cammy and other junk. I'm sure people complained about R.Mika too. It's 2015 and the theme is no backbone and being PC> Her breasts aren't even that big. If you have seriously not met a woman with huge breasts who doesn't have problems standing then that's silly.
I'm just going to roll my eyes and head to another end of the internet. Instead of thinking that this is all some how my fault that a fucking camera angle changed lets all be happy Laura still has a huge rack... In fact I think we have some music for that.
Other than the "camera angle" change. R. Mika also got some other more practicle changes and tweaks to her abilities. Here's the latest combo vid from the last Beta. There's some good BNB's in here along with those super fancy, huge power draining, but lets face it this will never happen in a match combos..lol. It's nice to see such an interest in all the characters before launch. Little tweaks and changes ot try and make each character a viable win option. Also glad they scheduled so many beta's; especially since this is a PS4 title. It seems that in general (and im not an XBox fanboy so chill all) that the PS network is generally the less stable of the two main networks when comparing online gaming. At least for us here in the U.S.
People are really losing their shit over these small and minor changes. You'd think it was the Street Fighterpocalpyse. A camera angle change isn't censorship. Costume changes are.
Let's see..Video game folks + anonymity of the net + a beloved franchise with 20 years of history...Oh yeah, folks are going to be losing thier shit daily, no matter what Ono does...lol. For me the gameplay is the main thing. Is it fun? is it balanced? are there cheap exploits in it that will make online play infuriating? (I initially enjoyed the last Mortal Kombat but even some of the tournments have been won so CHEAPLY). etc etc. Having played the demo, I really think they are on the right track. Seems like they are taking great pain in this new Street Fighter to keep things as balanced among the characters as possible, be accessible to newcomers yet have enough to keep the hardcore engaged. I like that this latest iteration seems to be more about strategy, pokes and smaller combos than some of the versions of the past. I thought it was funny (and so did my wife) to see R.Mika slap her butt before her ultra started, if they keep the angle different so it's inferred rather than seen, it will take away a little of the comedy for me and I agree "whats the big deal"? but either way..it's not going to sour the game for me or make me lose my shit. Unfortunately Street Fighterpocalype started the day they showed Ken with the new hairdo. I thought it was fine but you'd have thought the world was going to end and the entire street fighter series would crash into oblivion because of a new hairstyle..lol. Now on to the important stuff...Who's playing in Febuary and who you thinking about maining to begin with? For me, it's a toss-up between Cammy or Karin, at least until the DLC characters make thier way unto the scene and I can check out the new changes to Juri.
Anytime I get a new fighter I pick a female fighter first, I'll stick with Cammy. Then I'm learning Necalli. When Street Fighter IV came out, Rufus, Abel, El Douchebag and Viper didn't really do it for me. Viper is OK. It wasn't until Juri was introduced that I started playing any NEW SFIV characters. Racked up quite an undefeated streak with Juri too online. But I digress, SF IV's new characters well they kind of sucked. I'm not getting that with the SFV newbies, Rashid looks annoying though. But I'll give Laura and the twins a go, and Necalli has Main potential.
in IV: I found that playing each character in ranked matches till I had all of them at a C, then going back and using my favorite as a Main to give me a greater appreciation for each character not to mention, help me understand better how to play against them. Viper just never clicked for me but I could pull off some really good matches with El Fuerte. I used Juri as my #1 for awhile because I loved the character so much and her different move set but I could never get 1/2 as good with her as I was with Adon. That's who I got most of my hardest online achievements with. The Beta was too brief to really dig into every character so I just played them all then went with who I could get a flow with the best. Necalli I just couldnt get a good thing going with but some online sure could. I can see why he would be a potential main. In the end I was starting to get some good set-ups etc. with Laura. Nasty trick was after a knock down throw her fireball, then v-skill up close for a command throw...and she has a really good crouching forward leg poke.
I've never really played SF with combos in mind, I play SF More defensively. It surprises me how often people just jump into Cammy's Thrust kick. That's how I gathered such a long win streak with her. Some of my SFIV matches are on my YT channel. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3qTq4ihJcEfGqtwSRTpiyAaucg0DEuvt
Here's some really good info about light normals in SFV. As with anytime you jump from one street fighter to the next..there's some old muscle memory to overcome.
I might get the PC version eventually, but it's not a high priority. I have the 360 version of IV, and I've never played it.
and now we have confirmation of what we kind of already suspected. http://shoryuken.com/2015/11/19/cap...-of-post-release-street-fighter-v-characters/ I have the Madcatz TE2 Chun-Li stick on pre-order. Already trying to figure out how to make it look better, i'm just not thrilled with the blue and yellow theme. I'm sure i'll have new buttons and artwork waiting when it arrives.
I have a decent pad to use until a really good stick is available. I'm really looking forward to seeing who pops up in wave 2 of SFV's DLC. The initial Round of DLC is great takes the sting of ZANGIEF being an initial character away.
