Touche'. However, there's a major difference between Dead Rising (which started off as an Xbox exclusive) and Street Fighter (which is on almost every console that has ever existed). In 2-3 years either SSFV Grand Master Hyper Turbo Edition is on the Xbox One, or Street Fighter VI is released (which, given how "hard" Capcom tends to work, will include 3 new levels and 2 new characters over SFV).
Since I really don't want to argue I'll agree to disagree. Time will tell on SFV if it goes multi platform or stays on PS4 and PC. Word is it's exclusive due to Cross play and Microsoft doesn't want Cross play and Microsoft just wants to concentrate on KI as it's big fighter. I'm ok if that's true. I won't buy an XBOX one for KI YET. It's tempting though. What's up with DOA 5 Last Round on XBOX One. I've heard alot about the game crashing at weird places and such. Can the One just not handle Boobie Physics?
Dunno. I mostly use my Xbox One to watch TV. It even lost its place as the Netflix machine since I prefer using the Wii U gamepad for navigation. Though KI is damn good, and Season 2 has been pretty great. I'm not a big fighting game person (outside of Garou Mark of the Wolves, I love that game), but KI is a lot of fun.
Although at this point I'm Married to the PS4 But currently don't have any next gen systems. But as a secondary system, It actually is a tough decision Between XBOX One and Wii U as my secondary. Despite my psychotic anti Nintendo rants, Smash, Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Warriors, Pokken, That Kirby rainbow sequel, and that new open world Zelda are VERY VERY VERY VERY Tempting. I still have ethical issues with Nintendo, but buying used can easily remedy that. But as far as SFV goes it's one of the main reasons I'm getting a PS4 as my primary Next gen system.
If you just want to play indie games, you can do that just fine on the PC you're probably using right now. The only PS4 indie game I can think of that isn't on PC is Velocity 2X, but the developers have announced a PC port. Admittedly, it's nice to get them "free" on PS+.
I'm just not a PC Guy. None of the computers in my house are suited well to gaming and I just like the experience with a console more.
I learned that the hard way by buying Marvel vs. Capcom 3 for full retail at launch ("Finally the long-anticipated sequel to MvC2! There's no way they'll gouge people for disc DLC and abandon it in 8 months.") Which is why... Still hope V will be more exciting. IV was OK, but I just wasn't into it. Still have no trouble sticking with 3rd Strike, Alpha 3 (Saturn/Saikyo Dojo/Upper), and Alpha 2 Gold.
What do you all think of the art style for SF5? I think its too similar to SF 4. Every Street Fighter iteration really changed the art style or upped the ante. Street Fighter 2 to 3 was an amazing jump. SF 4 looked completely different. But 5 looks like they just increased the resolution and fps which is not that big a change.
The art style is by far the thing I dislike the most about SFIV. All the characters look really stupid with their unnatural muscles, almost like they were drawn by Rob Liefeld. I bet V is even running on the exact same engine as IV.
You lost that bet, It's running on Unreal Engine 4. I don't think V looks at all like IV. The characters look less Cartoonish and have more an edge to them. SFV Ryu looks more like Ryu should look than SFIV Ryu did very close to SFIII Ryu.
DOA 5 ran badly on PS3 originally. It's just the rush of porting... even though I'd never pay for a game I've already paid for again.
Don't forget Iron Phoenix! ...which never came out and may not have been heard from again! Ah, I bought the collector's edition. I later got the Ultimate version, and traded in the disc only for the original. I paid $70 for that bloody cool case.
You can't faintly hear the Stage music in the on stage demos. It's darker than SFIV's music, but it could also be place holder music.
