I know I have a long way to go to 1000 titles, but I'd like to collect interesting and great titles first before I head off deeper into the well of so-so Xbox games.
You can recommend any game from any region. Personal favourites, or even just games you like to pick up and play. I'm up for anything, as long as it's a game you've enjoyed.

So below is a photo of every title I own so far: (Burnout: Revenge, Grand Theft Auto: Triple Pack are not pictured - this photo was taken a few days ago)

You do know this is the umptiest thread on what games to recommend?
    Just saying... There. :cocksure:

Also: why would you bother having various versions of DOA games?
(I even recall DOA Ultimate coming out in a dual boxed version over here...)
And I don't think I see Magatama there?

Are there any good Xbox exclusive RPGs? It seems like Microsoft really hated RPGs during this time.

Depends on if you mean JRPG or just RPG in general. KotoR was relatively exclusive, ignoring the PC version that came later.

Nice collection! I hope I don't mention any games from it below, but it's hard to remember which you had in the pic and which not.

Seeing you have "BMX XXX". I'm missing the "Tony Hawk" series and the "Amped" Series.
"Burnout: Takedown" was great, in my opinion even better than Revenge. For a different type of game in the series you should also play "Burnout" (1, the original).

Also, nobody should miss "Conker: Live & Reloaded" - definitly my favourite xbox game.
    - If you got buddies to play with you should also pick up "Kung Fu Chaos".

I'm also not seeing the "Outlaw"-Series, especially "Outlaw Golf" was fun to play with a couple of friends (Good to talk about other things while playing. Oh the memories).

Hm, Jet Set Radio Future for sure, and um, get Kakuto Chojin, it was published by Microsoft but it was offensive so they stopped making it since it was kind of shitty.

I've been playing the shit outta Shadow The Hedgehog. I know lotsa people hated it but I'm on the opposite fence on that one.

Conker Live and Reloaded has been suggested but I'm gonna suggest it too for emphasis.

I don't have a whole ton of Xbox titles, so I may actually check out some from your collection. Gotta look up all those Japanese ones....

Yeah, Psychonauts is an awesome, funny, creative 3D platformer - most of the levels take place inside people's minds! And Pirates is just great, sailing around, battling other ships, plundering treasure, etc. :D

Conker Conker Conker! And its class-/team-based multiplayer is fun if you've got local people to play with, or if there's anybody on virtual LAN over the internet.

And I like Grabbed by the Ghoulies, the other Rareware title. Wasn't exactly a hit with critics, but it's a fun, cel-shaded romp through a haunted mansion.

I'm guessing it's the Japanese version? I doubled up and bought one too. The Ayame cover is so incredibly awesome.

HEX1G0N, can you play Timesplitters (or fps in general) without getting headaches/nausea? If you can play em, I'd recommend Metal Arms very highly.

I'm also diving into the Fatal Frames for the first time. So far, the first one is quite good! It adds a bunch of stuff, which may actually detract from the PS2 version. That can happen when you mess with a good thing. Graphics are buttery on Xbox though, and it's one of those games where that has huge impact.

Tenchu: RFD runs in 480p on Xbox.

ESPN NFL 2K5 is a marvel of a game. Even if you don't like sports games, you really should give that one a try. Being in Australia, learning the gameplay of American Football might actually null the stigma of sports games entirely for you.

Panzer Dragoon Orta is damn-near sacred! If your machine is old enough, it will run in 480p even if the dashboard has updates. You need a 1.0 or a 1.1. Later versions corrupted the enabling.

    ****That's all NTSC info.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, I'll search for all those games now!

As for all the copies of Dead or Alive, I got Dead or Alive 3 with the Smoke Black XBOX I bought late last year. Also the other copy of Xtreme Beach Volleyball is a cover variant. Depending on your monitor you might see a difference in green on the spine. The cover has a different image though :) and why not for $2? I blogged about the other copy a while back.

@Borman Ah yes! I forgot about Beyond Good and Evil! Come to think of it I didn't buy it because of the Kasumi-Chan system, well back I go :p

@foolxmoney I can play Timespitters without any problems, I remember seeing Metal Arms quite frequently, I'll look for it man, thanks. Sport titles will be the VERY last of the Xbox collecting stage, there's so many copies around it's not funny :p

Many of you mentioned Panza Dragoon Orta, it's on the list already. I planned on waiting to get the Special Edition console. As rare as they are who knows when that will be, so I might try and join an auction for it.

@JayFoxRox Great suggestions man, I'm currently searching for the Amped series. Not so expensive, so you might see it in the collection soon :)

@Druid II' Haven't heard of those other two titles, I'll check them out. Thanks man!

    @RetroJunkie Just yesterday :D

Many of you mentioned Conker: Live and Reloaded - Yep I'm surely targeting that title as well, just many are selling at stupid prices right now. Same goes for the Fatal Frame series, there's many titles some of you mentioned I'm currently heading for. Good to see I'm on the same page here :p

I just searched it and all "Buy It Now" ones are going for $50+ for CIB. I got mine in "Like New Condition" CIB for $38. Got lucky I guess? Don't remember if it was auction or buy it now though...

I thought the Dual Box version was the only one released in the US, with each DVD being for one of the games (one says DOA 1 and one says DOA 2, as if anyone plays the DOA 1 one).

Depending on your tastes, I'd suggest Soul Caliber 2 (with Spawn, probably the middle of the three console exclusive fighters ( Heihachi is kinda lame, and Link is freaking awesome)) one of the MK games, and various companies made a lot of good classic game collections (Midway made 3 I believe, and I think Capcom had at least 1 for the old Xbox) most of which can be had for under $10.

Also, if you're in the States, see if a GameStop near you has Conker, it's $18 http://www.gamestop.com/xbox/games/conker-live-reloaded/34440

You should get Panzer Dragoon Orta right away. I think it's the best game on the system. Some others I can recommend: Ninja Gaiden, Out Run 2, and Genma Onimusha. I've also heard that the Xbox port of Silent Hill 2 is pretty good, though I haven't played enough of it to make a judgement myself. I've actually been wanting to get back into Xbox lately, in part because it had some great boxart. Unfortunately I don't have my Xbox with me at the moment, but I will very soon.

Roger that. I'll start searching for Panzer Dragoon Orta - Also the other 2 games you mentioned I already own ;)

Edit: I ordered Panzer Dragoon Orta for $6.60, cheapest one on eBay I just picked up! Yay!

I didn't know there was a variant for Beach Volleyball. I must get that.

You won't be disappointed in PDO. Gameplay is definitely rail, but there are brilliantly realized effects as far as movement, transforming your dragon, etc. Visually it is breathtaking! Hopefully your disc is okay. I should have mentioned that I had to weed through three copies. There must be some bad pressings with a fair amount of early disc rot floating around. Try to find out if you're good to go for 480p. Microsoft's ruination of the ED enabling for that game is the biggest problem you'd face. They never patched it and the window is small. My first Xbox fried and I had no idea how precious the early versions would become, so I trashed it back in the day. Getting set up again for PDO has been a real labor of love. Dedicated machine with NO other games allowed...disc after disc...giant HD CRT...lol.

Can't totally vouch for this yet, as I have yet to play it for the first time, but the Cthulhu game is very highly regarded as well. It's first-person but looks to be more of an intense horror/adventure game than a shooter.
