The 3DS has been fully hacked

The day has come for New3DS users. Actually, it already came about a week ago, but anyway, users with a New3DS can expierience Gateway.
You only need to have an original copy of OoT or a Sky3DS ( How ironic )

Cool! But from the looks of things, this is only to get ROMs working? No region-free for original games?

 

If you have a Gateway, why would you even need to use region free for original games ?
Just dump your original game and use it as a rom in Gateway mode.

 

'Cuz I wanna use my original cart? If I'm going to have to use a ROM, I might as well have just pirated it to begin with.

 

Oh, so THAT'S why Ocarina of Time is suddenly rare.... Ugh. Most everything is just for piracy. All I want is region-free (and Pokemon save editing, because after 600 hours or more, it's pretty friggin' boring, and if you screw up one little thing, you have to start the breeding process all over again). Why Nintendo can't just make the damn thing region-free, I don't know.

Anyway, I thought I'd point out that, if you haven't already, you shouldn't upgrade to 9.5.0 on an old 3DS/3DS XL. They patched some or all of the web browser-based exploits.

 

None of which matter if you're using Gateway.

I've been using my N3DS with Gateway via Cubic Ninja or Pubic Ninja.. Anyway it sometimes hangs and isn't very good, I'd rather them use the MiiMaker exploit since who cares about Miis?

 

I wonder why they haven't released the Mii exploit? A week before Gateway Ultra came out, a guy ( SonyUSA ), was making a tutorial for the New3DS using the mii exploit. He had some pictures and it looked like it was perfectly usable in early January even for the New3DS.
I also think that they should just make the Mii exploit usable, having Cubic Ninja or OoT just makes the process much more complicated than it should be.

 

I agree. Having the "no extra" method would be good. It's annoying having to wait for CN to load everytime I turn off the system.
