what dud? you mean the 'civilian' crossing the screen in the last pic? let's just say the game's a little bizzare, but actually tries to emulate the real thing

I've had a few requests for games - today I was asked if I could find some SNES hacks and what not - titles I didn't even know where hacks, lol.

anyway, one game I located which I'll be picking up for this member (if he gives me the go ahead) - is Universal Soldier. just checked and it's apparently unreleased? so makes this pirate quite interesting. looking foward to picking it up.

    couple of questions:

did Fido Dido ever get an official release? because that can be gotten in pirate cart shape.

also - anyone know anything about the Killer Instinct hack called Killer Instinct Delux? can pick it up but I'm hessitant - is the only difference that you can pick the secret character straight off the bat?

I thought Universal Soldier was released but unlicensed. I know Accolade released it on the Mega Drive without a license from Sega. It came in a card box like their Test Drive 2 did. that was actually a cool game for the time.

Not sure about Fido dido though. It may have been a Brazilian release from what I remember but don't quote me on that. I've never heard of the Killer Instinct hack though.

This month's GameLab has a special on Chinese originals/pirate games. You should have a look at it, Yakumo.

Universal Soldier for SNES I've read, was never released.

things getting a bit trippy - going to pick up another snes game I've never heard of - Barbie Storymaker. lol. I have no clue what this is going to end up being, I know the game/program came out officially for the PC only.

also Super Bowling for the MD (which was released for SFC/SNES but not MD) - no clue as to what the game will be like but it's damn obscure, can't wait to check it out.

anyone who's played the MD rom of this game: King Series 18-in-1 (KC1801)
can you confirm if the games entitled Arm Wrestling and Bare Tekkan are just versions of existing games? cheers. need to know, don't want to plonk money down on something that's not as advertised.

I checked all pages and I'm pretty sure nobody commented this one yet:

The pics quality is awful, like every photo I take :banghead:.

Well, it's called "Picachu", a hack of a SNES game I can't remember right now. Got it a month ago, the cover condition is not great but it works perfectly :icon_bigg.

I'd be carefull with compliation carts. So many manufactures and mix's of games make it hard to track down a particular cart. Even when comparing with another person, the contents could be diffrent because they reuse or steal the labels from other carts :/

It would be best if you had a Nomad with you. Then you could simply try them out on the fly as you dig into potentially grubby carts :)

well.. picking up games based on label is a hard lesson to learn - Barbie Storymaker ended up being Barbie Super Model, and Super Bowling for the MD ended up being Championship Bowling - meh...

atleast I was able to pick up Universal Soldier for SNES (yeah seems it was unreleased unlike the Genesis version) - hd some fun with that. the person who had shown interest changed his mind so it's going to be up for grabs.
