I did this on my PAL PSU, unfortunately, i'm playing in RGB and with this mode my image is screwed up.

Seems that RGB needs 12V to work great.

Is there any solution for this ?

Nup, RGB Scart & VGA work fine if you remove the 12v, you must have done something else.

RGB should not need 12v. I use scart RGB just fine without 12v.

Edit: I was too slow to respond =)

    No, i've done nothing else.

I'm not the only one in this case, a friend of mine done the same trick, and same result.

I replace the regulator and the capacitor, and everything back fine.

You both have PAL PSU ? And officials RGB scart ?

[EDIT] Ok, i know maybe where is the prob.

    I've followed this : http://i.imgur.com/dQRkEvV.jpg

But you Turranius, you show to remove another resistor, right ?

[EDIT2] Oops, my mistake you posted later to remove the same as shown on the picture .... The prob is somewhere else then ...

That image is correct for the PAL PSU & yes I'm using a PAL system, I live in Scotland.

I removed the regulator & the cap & no issues.

Only thing that uses 12v is the GDRom drive.

I'm using a 42" LCD, but it works fine on a 14" CRT and a 28" LCD as well (use those in the solder room).
Using an official Scart cable. http://www.tradera.com/item/300109/...original-scart-kabel-nytt-till-sega-dreamcast

I should also say that I am now using a PicoPSU instead of the original PSU, although I did not have any problems with the original PSU either after removing 12v.

There is a switching and blanking pin on the scart connector that tell the tv to use RGB or composite and which video mode. AV/16:9 etc.

    Here's a diagram: http://www.nairam.sk/scart.jpg

I'd verify you are getting the correct voltages on these pins.

Yeah but honestly it may not matter. Your tv may not even read this pin. From the pictures it looks like its still in displaying 4:3 even without 12volts hooked up. I'd look at the blanking pin first.

    Stoneagegamer (SAG) sells them: http://www.stoneagegamer.com/dreamcast-usb-en.html.

They are located in the US.

SAG website states they anticipate getting more in the beginning of April. You can order one now though. I ordered like this. I emailed SAG before ordering and was told they only accept backorders for just the number of units that is in transit to them. Their orders close quickly.

How much does it cost on the SAG website? I understand our hobby is expensive, but near 300 dollars for that is... a lot. For that much, I'd rather just try my luck with my cheap SD card reader that plugs into the back.
