If I could get any early release of either 'Rocket: Robot on Wheels (N64)', or 'Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars (Wii)' I'd cherish them to death.
Nice find, Frodo! And so timely, too. APE: Personally, I think one can only really consider released material as canon. Nevertheless, the alternate possibilities sometimes found in prerelease versions of games can be pretty fun to think about. It's a little frustrating as I'm certainly capable of putting forward the kinds of funds one might expect would be needed to get early builds of Ocarina of Time released, but I have few leads on who to contact.
My holy grail? for the longest time it was Tomba for under $20. But now im more focused on getting a Jaguar, a TG16, and maybe a cd-i or a lazer active. all these could be easily found on ebay but i prefer to make my catches in the wild. swap meets and 2nd hand stores.

I can't disregard 1.5 and 3.5 BTW, 1.5 does not exist in the history of the game, but 3.5 yes (E3 2003 version)! In an official special book (released by Capcom but i don't remember the name) the story about 3.5 (with pics) is real (so it's in the same "universe" of Resident evil 1,2,3,Code Veronica,0,4,5)! To be honest, Resident Evil 4 beta n.2 (also knows always like 3.5 TGS 2002 version) is not in this universe (only the beta n.3 is in our universe). So, for truth: - Resident Evil 1.5 lives in another universe. - Resident Evil 4 beta n.1 is Devil May Cry - Resident Evil 4 beta n.2 lives in another universe. (TGS 2002) - Resident Evil 4 beta n.3 is real and lives in our universe (E3 2003, but we never play it) - Resident Evil 4 beta n.4 never released (we don't know anything about that). - Resident Evil 4 beta n.5 is Resident Evil 4 (the storyline is after Resident Evil 3.5). About Resident Evil 4 beta n.2: we have a trailer from TGS 2002. About Resident Evil 4 beta n.3: we have 2 trailers and 5 minutes gameplay footage. I want 1.5 and 3.5... fu** you Capcom.
Zelda 64 (the supposed original builds, before the switch towards the new storyline) Any proto of a major, genre setting or iconic game (Super Mario Bros, The original Legend of Zelda (which was recently found, but something even earlier), Sonic the Hedgehog, or Final Fantasy, amongst many others...) An early build of Chrono Trigger. Preferably one with the Singing Mtn. dungeon fully explorable, assuming it ever reached that state, or clues to either the Robot Village or the dome in 2300 AD. Alternately, to the first, Zelda Gaiden as it was meant to be played. Not Master Quest. No. Or, a build of Majora's Mask. Love that game, even now.
My holy grails? The Akira games, especially since I'm so close to tracking them down (US and UK developers, so English speaking). Sadly according to the Game Gear team they were 30% complete before a programmer left and soon afterwards it was cancelled, resulting in destruction of the assets. Which just leaves the Mega Drive, Sega CD, SNES and Game Boy titles to find.
Dee Dee Planet (Dreamcast) Chakan (Dreamcast) ... only in officially-pressed-by-Sega-form, which sadly makes it pretty unlikely for me to get my filthy old hands on any of both :crying:
This is probably a cliche by now, but Biohazard 2 Prototype and Biohazard 4 Prototype, also some of the earlier OoT builds, like the Zelda 64 Beta and those very old alpha builds we saw when Nintendo first marketed the N64. Those are my holy grails.
yes, maybe there are still a few copies left somewhere, but there are people with better connections to Sega than me (and some with bigger wallets aswell)! :crying: then again i am not sure whether the review copies that went to the magazines were pressed or burned
Haven't been here in a while but I would have to say for me.. Kameo for the original xbox seems like their were some differences as seen in this video.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jx17R4fPHnY that or really any unreleased / beta / early xbox stuff (bit of an xbox whore I am!) ~ DiGi
^ I was offered a DVT4 with 3 different builds of Kameo on it about 2 months ago....for 1500 GBP (It has been sold by the way...just not to me ) So, you should expect to have kinda deep pockets for it
lol....no Problem XD but srsly, my Holy Grail is also pretty much impossible to get : I would like to get the data and stuff needed to set up the Campaign Servers for Steel Battalion again, but I think writing a kind letter to Capcom won't help :/
oh wow that is quite a holy grail... for some reason I don't think a letter to capcom would accomplish anything but hey! does not hurt to try my friend! </crushingdreams>
Theres also a few copies of a Kameo disk floating around, but I believe those are mostly demos. Had the opportunity to buy them a few times. Wouldnt mind getting a completed version of Kameo though
