Was hard one to pick, but I picked SNES as that's what is most active when I have time for now. But I do play some NES from time to time too..
and since I got myself a N64 at the begining of the year I've started playing lots on it too.

I would group the Coleco in with the NES/SMS

It was a damn good system for it's time. The Intellevision too which I still find to have some good games. The 2600 is ass though

Well, my first console was the Sega megadrive/genesis, i was about 8 years old when i bought it (half money from my bigger brother, lol).
I have played megadrive through all these years, changing various system: Saturn, Ps1, Dreamcast and, finally, ps2.

The best game of this world is called Shining Force 2 for Megadrive, never played it? You MUST!!!

    God bless emulators and developers.

    1 - Dreamcast
    2 - PS2
    3 - DS
    4 - Genesis
    5 - Saturn (emulator)
6 - NES (emulator on DS)

I picked Snes/Genesis/NeoGeo/TurboDuo as I've been playing Chrono Trigger again last month (I like to play old RPGs from time to time). Right now the system I use the most is X360 (Oblivion, PGR3 and Blazing Angels right now), PS2 and PSP.

Going by Assembler's criteria, I had to vote for PS2, as its the oldest hardware platform that I play with on a regular (basically, daily) basis. In descending order beneath that would be:
    1. Wii
    2. PS3
    3. Xbox
    4. Wonderswan
    5. GC/Q
    6. GB
    7. Virtual Boy
    8. 2600
    9. others
I still play lots of PS1 games, but exclusively on the PS2 platform - the PS1 isn't hooked up anymore. Everything from 4 down, is likely to vary greatly in order depending on mood/fancy of the moment.

NES is it for me.. i dont play ms or msx (1) tho.

i hardly play NES either but some games on it are still good.
(recca, probotector, power blade etc) alot of the nes era games have great soundtracks too, the late 80s/early 90s generation of videogames was the best by far in the department imo.

I picked the last generation, PS2, Xbox, GC. Mainly because the PS2 has alot of recent games and the Xbox has the emulators.

Talking of consoles I play regularly:
    - NUON (Tempest 3000 rulez)
    - Playstation (Gran Turismo)
    - Playstation 3 (Motorstorm)

I also still have my Commodore CDTV hooked-up and as it has got a floppy-drive connected so I can play all my original Amiga stuff on it:
    -Ports of Call
    -Arkanoid
    -Test Drive
    -Fire Power
    -Agony
    -Defender of the Crown

    CDTV-Software is:
    -Defender of the Crown -CDTV-Edition-
    -Defender of the Crown 2
I used to have a collection of 75 CDTV software-titles (about 85 were released) but I sold it off, as I did my CD32-collection (130 Games and VCD-Module).
I'm purely sticking to NUON and SONY thesedays after trying out the majority of different gaming-systems.

not having the consoles around, I resort to emulation. This still counts as the real thing, since its games from SNES/NES and Saturn that i play almost every day. DS is an amazing system, very fun. I also like messing around with my 36 and GC

i just discovered the filtering in Kega - Wow! Sonic 3 looks amazing - this is the way these games were ment to be played. Having a controller that actually fits helps too.

SSF doesn't seem to be working quite right for me though. Every few times I launch this, the frameskip goes on steroids and I get a frame rate of 120+. I have HSync real clock or something enabled, and I can't use V sync as it disables frameskip and my system isn't fast enough for that :( Until I can get this fixed, playing NiGHTS is a case of getting lucky for me.

If you're talking about 2xSAI, Kreed etc filters, then that is definitely not the way those games were meant to be played. Prefer it if you like, but they weren't designed for it.

Try the hacked version of Girigiri, I'm pretty sure it ran NiGHTS perfectly.

Back on-topic, I voted for NES/SMS since I do still play them, but really I tend to have phases. Toward the end of last year I was playing loads of N64, now haven't played it for a few months. I'm kind of busy at the moment, but the PS2 sees a fair bit of action, and a month ago me and a few mates had a week or so of pure SNES. I'd like to think that this is the result of good choice and considered decisions, but it's probably more about what console is already hooked up.
