Well, at the moment, the oldest thing I REGULARLY play is PS1, as I own a few hundred PS1 games, only maybe 40-50 of which I've ever really *played*, so I'm trying to work my way through at least trying the ones that aren't sealed.

Until just a little while ago I was playing NES/Famicom fairly regularly, but I took it off the TV to make room for the Wii. Once I have my emulation gear re-attached to the TV when I move, I'll go back to playing lots of older stuff.

Yeah, the Atari stuff just can't hold my attention, but the Vextrex is pretty old and it's fun to play. The Nintendo/Sega stuff starts to have a stock of games that I like to play, if only for nostalgia. PS1 and XBOX1? Never.

There was an awesome game on the NES, a platformer/action title, where your weapon was your lovely long locks of hair. It was a dirt cheap purchase at a Toys 'R' Us clearout once, but probably the best non-Nintendo NES game I ever played.

Edit: it was called Kabuki Quantum Fighter - http://www.flyingomelette.com/reviews/nes/kabuki.html

You gotta play it again and feel how hard it is, seriously.

I want to change my vote to current gen. Right now, my 360 is all I want to play anymore.

I have to mention the NES again cause thanks to the PowerPAK you can really game it up on the NES. I just wish my CF card hadn't gotten fucked up.

The oldest game console I can play are the Nintendo Entertainment System and the Sega Master System. These are the console that are get me into video gameing. Atari and the other pre crash console are before my time and I do not play them much if at all.

Considering one of the few reasons I even touch my PS2 is to run Intellivision Lives!, I'll take the second option. Odyssey/Pong was before my time.

Quite easily as the CD-i was never made or sold as a games console.

Xbox. I'm a huge FPS player and the PS2 never felt smooth or particularly well-suited to the genre. I still regularly pick up $5 to $10 games at Fry's or other retailers and then get home and fire up the Xbox, even though I have a 360.

it'd have to be my modded xbox and modded PS2 that I play regularly now - xbox primarily because it's got all the emulators and roms from the earlier systems, and PS2 because I'm playing a few imported shmups, and for Rez :)

my Gamecube doesn't get much of a look in nowadays, nor any of my other systems (PC Engine w/ CD, PC Engine Duo, Megadrive, SNES, PS1, Saturn) either

what also helps is I'm using a combo TV/DVD/LCD screen for my PC monitor, that also has a SCART input socket, so I'll use one of those 8 in 1 "spider" SCART leads to connect the xbox and PS2 up to it
