A socket that has a lot of insertion/removals in its life time has a broken solder joint? Not remotely odd.

Repaired a Fat Silver PS2 i got for free from a friend.

drive was not ejecting / reading discs, - the plastic arm that works the dvd drive open / close and pulls the lazer / motor assembly up to read the discs had the little "nipple" bit broken off that runs along a trench in the bottom of the dvd tray, fixed this by pulling a replacement from another broken ps2, was a different model so i had to use a knife to trim the end of the plastic arm thing to fit.(without doing so it wasnt going through the full range of motion so the drive kept ejecting)

also had to glue back on the bezel from the dvd drive tray with some super glue.

all working now :D so happy.

iPhone 3GS, digitiser was completely crushed by my rage.
All repaired now, took about 1 hour to do cause of the stupid earpiece cable is the bitchest cable I've ever tried to plug in, and at the end just left it I hardly call anyway.

I just used tap water to fix an Xbox.

The DVD tray wouldn't open (closing worked, though only barely). Turns out the drive belt was dried out and hard, and therefore had almost no grip at all. So I put it in water for a minute - now it's working fine again.

That tends to be a temporary fix, you should probably buy a fresh drive belt for it.

Today, I fixed a PS2 that had a tray that wasn't opening. Not much fun, since the PS2 has a million pieces and in order to get to the laser assembly's gear and drive belt, you need to practically pull the damned thing completely to pieces. Cleaned up the laser assembled, greased it up and it all works now!

Today I fixed a copy of contra that I got at a flea market for 9 dollars. I didn't realize that the pcb was busted in half, until I got it home. was a fun project but now I have to beat the game.

Last stuff I did for Game Traders.

Re-case DSlite (Pikachu Yellow) & new touch screen
US NES missing controller port surround (luckily I had a spare at home....) interesting to see PAL games on a US NES replace 72 pin converter and clean control pads.
Game Cube power supply damaged AC and DC leads. Replace AC lead entirely and shorten re-use cord grip for DC plug/lead
2nd DS lite some turkey had spilled drink on it, main board and bottom screen cactus. Top screen etc up top is ok for spares....
PS2 slim, just tested this, no idea why they gave it me lol
Sega Master System model 1, black screen. Traced to 3 through holes looked corroded (best description) clean up and re-flow solder 2 of them to get continuity and 3rd required jumper to pin 40 to Z80 chip.

Not shown Atari 7800- AV mod

I'm looking into my Coleco Gemini. Loose power socket is obvious. Video I should open its RF unit to get a closer view.

These fake cases are all over eBay and reduce the value of the true Japanese Limited Edition Pikachu DS Lite so much. -_-

Lol didn't mean to upset you guys.....

To increase the rage, they also like zelda gold and the ff3 cases. There are others, done a naruto last week. If you have a better idea to replace a broken (or pink) case that will sell, let me know. They are advertised and sold as re-cased ds's.

I will ask please don't attack me, as I just do as I am asked and believe me I don't make much off these (maybe $5-10 for an hour plus of work).

Myself I like the smoke black.
