I'm getting it as soon as it's available here, been holding out for an upgrade for my old Iphone 3G for a while now as the 3GS didn't offer anything worthwhile upgrading to. I'm especially happy with the much higher res screen, 5 mpixel cam and 720p vdeo recording features.
Huh. I never knew that. Me lol. There's a lot of stuff to do with Java. It's very useful. I wonder if the games for XBL on Windows Phone 7 will only be XBL Arcade games and/or Indie games??? It's just hard for me to imagine a game with more advanced graphics because it's not just one phone, it's multiple handsets. It would be pretty hard to have all games compatible with all phones... Unless Microsoft's supposedly leaked minimum specs requirement is true???
I'm just waiting for O2 to actually come up with a price on upgrading to 32 gig one. I've got a question though. Have providers stopped offering unlimited internet time? I've just been on O2s iphone 4 tariffs and they say 1 gig is limit now?
That depends upon where you live. Here in Japan it's unlimited. In the states AT&T are trying to limit it to 2GB per month.
Yeah I guess the UK are trying to do the same then. We used to get unlimited here but after looking at the current iphone 4 tariffs it seems they have changed unlimited to just 1 gig and thats on the highest possible tariff. Pretty expensive. On the one I'm gonna have to choose I'll get just 750mb per month. Is that considered a lot in the mobile world?
For viewing websites, doing mail and watching some videos on youtube 750MB should be enough
i'm going for it. going to try and get one ASAP when it comes out in Canada. i am currently without a phone atm. so i hope it comes out here soon
With my POS corporate plan I might get that new slider Blackberry as soon as they release it, but no iPhone4 (or Android alternative...) I'm actually considering one, but seeing how AT&T managed to once again neuter the iphone, and that unlimited data plans will soon be over it's more of a commitment than an upgrade. The screen is great, thought not 'retina'-grade like jobso says. But don't get too excited about the A4, is the same GPU as the 3GS, with a CPU modified for higher battery life. An upgrade yes, but not top-of-the-line. Anyways, I'll wait for the iPod Touch 4 (or maybe get one unlocked)
The positive here is that older model iPhones have dropped in price now that people are ditching them in an attempt to come up with the money for the newer model. I just got an unlocked out of contract 3gs for $200.
Yeah, it was only like twice as fast for every operation and far less bottlenecks. But it costs twice as much as the states.
No no it was used in excellent condition. Although I'm sure right after launch of 4 there will be a surge of people selling their older models and they'll be cheap as hell for a week or two. I wouldn't be surprised to auctions on ebay ending at like $150 for a 3GS in like new condition.
You have a goldmine. Buy the phone, then a month later call and say you need to cancel your contract as there's no service. Pay the fee, sell new iphone4 and profit. $400 termination, sell for $1200 unlocked on ebay.
Realised today my phone contract ends in less than a month, went into the phone shop and played with a HTC Desire. Other than the bland looks it's awesome. Torn now between getting a Desire in a few weeks or waiting for Windows Phone 7.
A "friend" of mine will surely buy it, to overcompensate for the fact that he is butt ugly and probably has a very small dick.
That is why I wrote "friend" and not friend. Besides he knows already what I think about his dick. I told him it was small when he bought his first Iphone...
