XBOX new console is "Xbox one" no 360 backwards compatibility, 8 core, 500gb, 8gb ram

I guess they specified it as non-serviceable since you could quite easily upgrade the 360's HDD (at a cost). Instead it's internal and they've said if you want to upgrade you can plug a USB drive in and use it for everything, like installing games etc. Don't think an unmodded 360 will let you install games onto USB.

Pretty good way to do it really. I remember running out of space on my 20gb 360 drive and having to pay almost $200 to upgrade to 120gb.

 

An unmodded 360 does indeed allow games to be installed on to USB drives I have two 32GB USB dries and 120GB HD on my 360 which isn't modded.

 

Maybe this is a cunning hint that it's set on an alien planet that orbits a binary star system.

... or maybe not.

 

I'm not interested at all in Madden, EA Sports, some Halo TV series or the old/new Kinect (I find it unnerving to not be able to turn the new Kinect off), and the once-a-day mandatory internet connection/pay a fee to play used games ideas are imho some of the most blatant attacks on gamers in the last few years I think I will be heading towards Sony for the next-gen (at least until they announce similar features for the PS4).

 

I think they're going for the all-in-ONE approach.

EDIT: Quick realisation this morning. I think they're going for the Kinnect + TV approach in anticipation of the Apple TV that is rumoured. I can see the marketing now, "why spend £1000 on an Apple TV when you can spend £400 on an Xbox one and get the same functionality out of your existing TV"

Atleast MS gave us something. Now let's all sit back and wait until the 10th just to see what we are really getting. Lately gaming is becoming less and less un fun do to fanboyism and rumors. Why not be open minded about things and see what really happens.
