Thanks, that's pretty much all I was trying to say. Also, what I said wasn't directed specifically at you so much as most of the posts in this thread.

Funny thing about the people waiting in lines to get an iPhone 5: I walked in the Apple Store at 2:30pm, and there was one lady waiting for an iPhone 5. I had to wait all of about 30 seconds to get one. However, when I came back (to get a new SIM card) a few hours later, there were like 30 people standing in line. I guess I just got lucky with the timing. I was prepared to wait for a while, but I wouldn't have waited hours for it.

 

This was not far from where I work.

To put it in perspective, that queue goes all the way into that shopping centre, then upstairs, then queues around to the apple store. This was also long before its peak.


Oh and that picture is from Friday (release day), but people started queuing on Thursday.

I personally think Apple products are pieces of elitist bullshit. And there is no way I am going to accept Apple now a days. Fuck Apple !
Hell, I have met quite a few people who uses Apple products, when in fact they could have used any other Intel machine for their shit. Thank fuck, I do not buy the name. I would rather buy a noname hanlypanky laptop. If the quality was top notch, and I would be happy with it. And no I do have any kind of Apple products. And to reflect on the matter, I suddenly get a flashback to the days of some certain elitist bastards who tried to fuck with this forum. And well that was Neo Geo related, that is as close I can go into it. Because it is in the past.

 

itunes has become annoying with me since a few months now I always have to run the software in ''safe mode'' otherwise it'll just shut down at a random time...

but I like the innovation that Apple brings with the time: ipods, macbook ( very thin ), iphones etc. but since I'm not a social networker, I just really use Apple for my music needs.

 

The only reason I got the 4S was because of iTunes and AppStore, I already had a lot of content and still had plenty of stuff I wanted to buy so it made sense to get the phone. But there are a good few issues I have with this phone, but thankfully it's up to date enough that it will last me a good few years as a media device, Internet, YouTube, music, etc, there's no real need to get a new iPhone untill some major revision comes out that renders this hardware obsolete. So next time I get a phone I'm happy taking a more adventurous approach and getting something for a fresh start with a new device.

 

iTunes is horrible software, I have a huge music library and iTunes can't even handle being opened if I try to import my whole library into it, I gave up

 

Mine loads just fine. I just re-imported my entire library a few months ago since I got a new comp. It took around maybe 30 seconds to a minute to fully categorize and re-index everything on this machine (rMBP). 231.90 GB, 34217 songs. Everything properly ID3 tagged, complete with artwork. A lot of people complain about iTunes, but once you get rid of the annoying store/ping aspect of it, it's actually about the best in terms of overall organization that I've personally come across. Maybe I've just been able to make it work for me. Then again, I use OS X. I hear the Windows versions are pretty awful, but while I've used them, I've never had extensive use with them.

 

I never actually use the software its self, just the online service. Their selection of music, movies, tv shows, apps, games, etc really is great, Android is almost there but it's the one thing I can say I'm truely happy with about.

 

As I walk in and become the pariah with the blackberry (love it by the way, love everything about it, except perhaps the music player but that's what my music player is for lol)
I liked iTunes as a way to automatically organise my music into neat little folders but then it did some weird crap with the album art so it didn't work with anything non-apple, I then discovered media monkey and I would never go back.
I have no massive issue with iphones as a product aside from the lack of a qwerty keyboard. It's simple, it's relatively sensible and there are a decent number of features for your everyday user. That being said, I do take issue with the way particular people tend to act about them and of course the massive price. I have several friends who make out like he's in some sort of exclusive club just because he has a mass produced piece of plastic, an exclusive club called everybody. I'm tired of being treated like a second class citizen just because the one expensive size fits all style over substance approach taken by apple is not my cup of tea. I love my phone but I don't pretend like it's the only phone anybody could possibly ever need and I certainly don't talk down to people. Today on the tube a random man sidled up to me and said "I see you have a blackberry, I bet you feel stupid, I have a tube map AND I can play solitaire, see." I showed him my tube map and solitaire app which rather shut him up. But the point is, I encounter this hostility on a daily basis, I don't want to play angry birds, I am happy with my choice and I'm glad that other people are happy with theirs but please just leave me alone, I know exactly what apple does and does not offer, I didn't opt for a competitor due to a lack of information, I'd just like to go about my daily business without being accosted by zealots who don't know what they're talking about.

 

The Windows version of iTunes kinda sucks. I've never had any problems with the Mac version. It loads almost instantly when I open it. I like it because it's a very easy way to consolidate and organize your music library.

That's pretty funny. Seems somewhat staged, but it's funny nonetheless.

i used to install a program that was i-tunes-like but worked... i think it was called songbird or such. Since i passed to win7 i haven't checked it out again...
