You're not afraid she'll invite her friends over?

    Why is this a sticky?

Oh well, this is the secret to Japanese girls:

If you buy them expensive handbags, you can be their boyfriend. If you're from the UK, NZ, Canada or the US (sorry Australia), they will try to get 'accidental' pregnant so you'll marry them and give them more beautiful "half babies."

My Japanese girlfriend (and soon wife) is an independent and higher thinking person. That's what I admire about her. She WANTS to better herself and has great goals in life. However, she is still Japanese in the sense of little cultural things. But as pretty and the like that I find a lot of Japanese women. I don't like that subservient role some take (and it isn't all Japanese, many Western women do it too).

We get along great and love to discuss deep topics and the like. The dating process wasn't that strange...in fact much less hassle than dealing with Western girls. The Western girls I've had experience with were all pretty manipulative, and again, not all are, but it was a breath of fresh air.

The clingy thing...yeah that can be there but then again, it happens everywhere.

You know, I once went into a Louis Vuitton store just to see the legendary handbags that Japanese women sell their bodies for. I was more than a little disappointed. I was expecting something more... I dunno, awe-inspiring.

Get the ring. And a necklace. And some earrings. Some things you can't skip.

I like to think there are women out there that ARE that way, that are as potentially glad to be with you/me/whoever that these physical bindings/promises aren't necessary... but I think most of them are probably just men or were previously men.

I knew a girl that never gave a shit about stuff. Then again, she moved to another state and left me with a catacalysmically shattered heart and not because she hated me. .
    That I know of.

Hah, that just sounds weird. "Where's her ring?" "Jeeze, I bought her scissors! No need to be greedy!"

Get a ring! Get the whole nine yards!

My wife told me the same thing... She wasn't materialistic, and stuff like that. But further down in our relation, it all changes and hell brakes loose! :)

Dude, buy the ring. Get one for yourself to. I mean, they're only worth a few boxed Wondermegas depending on which ring(s) you get.

Remember Cubic Zirconia does sparkle better then diamonds and is much cheaper and it's unlikely that she'll would be able to tell the difference anyway.
