KRIKzz, are you actuallly programming these new menus yourself in assembly language? Surely you are outsourcing that software development work to a 3rd party.. If you are doing it yourself well hats off to you . Very rare for someone to be both an excellent software and hardware hacker!
i perform programming of my menu by myself, but n64 menu don't have any asm code, only C. i used a lot of asm in sega and snes projects. PS: i am not hacker, I am a programmer
You can already use this os on V1 cards, but you dont have the new loading speed. The only thing i dont know at the moment is the minimum fw requirement
Thanks for answering my question and it's an excellent product with or without that BT working. To be able to say it plays 100% instead of 99.9% always gives you top bragging rights. It may also be the OCD or the collector in me. I sometimes obsess about the games I can't find or in this case the game I can't play on it.
is OS v1.22 for NTSC. PAL or both? changelog doesn't mention info on that. And does it work on v1 card?
Why does WWF No Mercy not work with Everdrive V1 updated to the latest using the default flash save method...just giving a black screen. I notice in the video, it works with Everdrive V2 straight away. It can still be fixed to at least play by forcing to an 4k or 16k save but I was just curious. Is it some sort of protection or glitch?
put this save file in your ED64/SAVE folder, and no mercy will work on v1. rename save file if need http://krikzz.com/pub/ex/WWF_No_Mercy_(U)_[!].fla
rom load error 103 Hi, First off, thank you very much Krikkz, my Everdrive arrived this morning and it works! thank you so very much! Now, this might not be the right place to ask, but i could not find this anywhere else on the forum. Whenever i try to load a rom on my everdrive 64 i get a 'load error 103' and i cannot figure out what it means and how i can fix it. If anyone can help me, thank you very much in advance.
Never mind, after i reorganised all the roms into folders of 200 files or less, the problem was solved. Now i have a problem with the nes emulator, whenever i try to boot it up i get the message 'rom is not in ines format' what does that mean? I'm also interested in what was wrong with the flashcart when i sent it to you Krikkz, if you can still recall.
actually ed64 allow around 1000 files per folder. nes emulator is not perfect, so not all roms will work. i don't remember what was wrong
Love my ED64 with latest os. Currently using a rgb mod on my pal machine and pal tv, with ntsc roms and this is what happens in a few games, accordinly to krikzz its becouse a few games use different resolutions and i can understand why. Eg, Killer Instinct have the flickering only in menus and not while fighting. My tv have no options for PAL/Auto/Ntsc mode, i been checking all over for that option (LG LH3000)
it is not everdrive faults, so I guess that better to talk about this problem somewhere where people talking about RGB modding. 640x480 may not work properly on rgb modded n64, looks like tv lost a sync my point of view: want to have a good and stable system? then not touch anything, leave all as it was created by the engineers many years ago. anyone who make some modding should be ready to potential problems
I fully agree. But consoles where sold as RGB by default in other countries, just want to give a heads up if someone is wondering.
