I don't think that box is meant to symbolise the Revolution. I think they were just trying to say that it'll be compatible with GC format and also some other format which they were being vague about.
let be aside that this is a fake, if this was real it never could work as standalone as addon maybe cause you need a the normal games to sell the base unit and with some special apps (which need much more time to produce) you can sell the addon kinda like the eyetoy from sony or the drums of donkey kong
I think it will, at least available seperately. I do think the rumour about the touchscreen VMU type thing in the controller has some merit.
Rare may not be the only former Nintendo partisan finding a new home at Microsoft...but we won't be able to talk about this until E3 properly kicks off next week... ---other---- Welcome back. Despite my english (I'm from Japan), I wanna continue talking about Revolution but, in this case, about Retro and Revolution and about graphics. I've seen the best game that you'd never seen. 10 seconds, 10 seconds of a game which can change the world of video games. I'm not talking about "video fake" of Nintendo On, I'm talking about another thing, THE game. This game has taken its toll on me. "video fake" of Nintendo On is, obviously, a fake, a great fake. Let me tell you Revolution is still more impressive than it. I don't know if this game will be on the E3. Nintendo have not answered to my question(...) But I can tell you guys that it could change video games's concept. A great step. Revolution's graphics are unbelievable better than Xbox 360. Time is an important factor. So, I'm gonna talk about "Broadway" well, we guess that we know Revolution will have 4 cores, 2,5Ghz each one. It is FALSE I can't talk about the CPU. But I'm sure, after to see it, that it'll be too potential. Bill gates, don't laugh about Revolution. You're doomed. Sorry, I couldn't have access for GPU information. I promise you I wish to have information about GPU. See you later before E3... P.D: IGN ,when will you show your information? uh, Matt --other2-- Launch Title - Mario's Adventure (3D Action with MiniGame) - Wave Race:Feel the Stream - NiGHTS (SEGA) - GRasp! (Nintendo's New PuzzleGame) - NintendoBros. (Communication tool and not SmashBros.) Developing Title - Metroid Nexus (RetroStudio) - Angel Land Story:Icarus (CAPCOM) - Super Mario Nexus (Mario128) - Crystal Chronicle 2 (not FF)
http://www.kidicarus.com/ And Matt of IGN would have said that there will be a great game comming from Retro.
I don't know about you but I'm getting sick and tired of people, including MattIGN, with this kind of thinking. How in the hell can people actually think we have a perfect model for console games. There are so many things wrong with it, it's not even funny. And I'm talking about both the business side and the gamers side. People need to listen more to the very game company who RESCUED us from the crash of the industry way back when most of you were in diapers. The industry NEEDS to move forward. And since SONY and Microsoft dont' really give a **** about that, somebody has to step up to the plate. I'm glad it's Nintendo, who once again will potentially pave the way for the future of videogames. Not some company who wants to monopolize your household electronics, and not some company who already has a monopoly over the computer industry. But a company, the last TRUE game company who actually cares about the progression of interactive entertainment. Do you think the way you control your games is perfect as it is? Are you kidding me? So much more can be done to make interacting with video games more intuitive. Just because joe average gamer can't see any need for improvement doesn't mean there's no need for it. And shame on someone like MattIGN for saying the industry isn't broken. He should know better. There is so much untapped technology out there it's not even funny. Nintendo realizes this and is doing something about it! Where do you think we would be without Nintendo? Good business is about taking risks. Without taking risks you aren't really going anywhere. When was the last time Sony took a risk? Take their controllers for example. Wow they've changed a lot huh? They seem to think that controller design doesn't really need to evolve. It works great so why change it? Sure it works great .... for the same old games over again. But guess what, interactive entertainment is changing. It is evolving whether you like or not. We are entering the HD era. The buzz of HD this and HD that is everywhere. The game industry is jumping on the bandwagon without an afterthought. But big deal. All your games will now be in 1000000x1000000 pixels of resolution. To quote Keanu Reeves, "Whoa!". Note the sarcasm. There will be more to it then just beefing up specs this time around. Online gaming is a big part of it, but it is only one major part of it. The other part is interaction. Seamless interaction. Games need to evolve to the point where you have total intuitive freedom of control. Where controlling the game becomes as natural as speaking to someone, or walking down a street. And I believe THIS is the generation where it happens. Nintendo will show us just how natural it really can be to play games. And I for one can't wait until we all see what the industry has been missing. Nintendo always has been and always will be an innovator. You should thank them for being around to drive the industry in the right direction. At least they dare to take risks see the result and still turn a profit. That is why I, and always will, respect Nintendo. -- Amen!
