Revolution revealed http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox1data/sep/EEEyFFZVAuwtZNmWEw.php Sorry if it's been shown, but this is the first I've seen of it.
Just because it's called Revolution doesn't mean you should expect a revolution in every aspect of the console. Are you also expecting a price revolution with Nintendo giving you money to take it away? That design is good because it's simple, and it's not trying to be anything that it's not. A console is a box that plays games. It sits beside or below your TV. It doesn't need to be flashy. What matters is what's on the screen. The console should stand out neither for being over-stylised nor for being hideous (more often the case).
I'm not saying it's bad or anything like that. I look forward to see videos of it's games. I just said that in terms design, it isn't a "Revolution".
I hope that isn't the final design. It looks like one of those dodgy £30 DVD players you can pick up in Tescos, that's made by some S.Korean company you've never heared of. I assume pictures of the pad won't emerge until release though. The N64 wasn't that pretty, but the top-secret pad design did turn out to 'revolutionary', so hopefully the Revolution pad will follow suit. Either that or its crap and expensive. Personally, I'm more interested in being able to download classic Ninty games. That, and living in hope there'll be a Pilotwings Revolution gracing the machine.
I just want to see the inevitable pics of the new Mario game, whatever it will be. I realize that they'll be hard pressed to top SM64 in terms of being revolutionary, but a la SM Sunshine, I'm sure it'll still be damned good. I'd also really like another Blast Corps game.
Gamespot reported that Nintendo also revealed a 'Game Boy Micro', that is apparently the size of a credit card, but retains all GBASP functions. From the sound of their report, this thing was physically AT the show, not just talked about. If anyone finds any pictures of this thing, toss 'em up!
Rather pointless if you ask me. The SP is small enough. How many versions of the GB does one person need?
Where'd you get that image? Oh, and to answer your question, I need every damned version of the GB that's out there. I'm a GB nut, and that thing is awesome. (Although in all fairness I DO recognize it as a bonehead business move, what Nintendo really needs is a true PSP killer, lest they get plucked from the handheld market altogether) It damn well better have a standard headphone jack though, that was a BIG problem I had with the GBASP.
It's from a different forum. Some user got the image and saved it prior to Nintendo's site getting bogged down.
from cube europe. Also try to get to nintendos official sites, if you can, they're very slow at the moment, but they have the images
OMG SO CUTE! Yeah, it is on the dinky side though... Hey! Where's the revolution controllers already?
I like it. Much better looking than it's two competitors. Small, sleak.... doesn't make me think like it should be dispensing sanitary napkins. Complete backwards compatibilty is fantastic, as long as they don't region-lock the downloadable content AND the machine can output low res properly. No scaled bullshit.
Nintendo really why..... Why release another old gameboy again! So your gonna buy that for you kids so they dont play on your DS and then your gonna end up buying two sets of games and then nintendo drop the DS as a PDA and release the gameboy 2.... screw over if you ask me.
