"People need to listen more to the very game company who RESCUED us from the crash of the industry way back when most of you were in diapers."

Does that mean the USA should follow what france does because they helped save their ass from the british?

Note i am not anti french. Just stating. It does not matter what a company has done in the past. What matters is what they do now and right now nintendo has not been doing things right.

    Make it neo retro

Theres been a lot of info about the Revolution, some credible and some pure fantasy. Taking what I fealt was credible info I came up with this little concept for the Revolution.

This is pure fakery and only represents an idea of what I would like to see the Revolution look like. I was thinking it would have a Platinum finish.

    Meh.
I was around during the Atari 2600 and NES heydays and can tell you that just as many people complained about the lack of originality seen in gaming back then just as they do today.

For the NES, it was always "not another Ninja game" or "how many more cookie-cutter side scrollers can they keep releasing for this thing". Let's not even begin to mention all the monopolistic practices that they were guilty of....how quickly we forget these things! And who could forget the constant bitching and moaning about all those shooters released for the Genesis/MD, yet now that the shooter genre is on the brink of collapse suddenly there seems to be some kind of underground cult-like following that worships these very same games.

Bottomline is, gamers will always bitch. They'll never be happy with whatever the current generation brings.

Yes, Nintendo rescued gaming from the brink of disaster, I'll give them that. But they are just as guilty of churning out (or allowing) crap software as the rest of the companies. I guess being around during the early days has given me the ability to see through they hype and easily pick up on their bumbling ways. They may very well bring us a new concept or two along the way, but at what cost?

If that IS the revolution, it's the best looking of the three new consoles.

Wow, that fake video is UNBELIEVABLE.

The demo with the thousands of SM64 castles is super cool. Is some of that original music, did they really put together original music just to make a fake video? That's insanity.

I'm really excited about Revolution now, to be honest. The graphic improvements with PS3 & 360 are indeed impressive, but it sounds like Nintendo's putting together a very impressive package, and if they can at least come close to the PS3's imagery while at the same time offering something that's really new, I'm all over it.

Hell, even if it were the NES mockup, it'd STILL be the best looking of the three consoles.
