I'm a little disappointed the guys at Rockstar North didn't stick to their roots. Where is the "Dundee Gangsta" version with a couple of chavs wearing Burberry skip caps, a pair of Reeboks with white socks rolled over the bottoms of their all blue shell suits & Bustin' up Dundee in their 1ltr Vauxhall Nova? Job number 1: Go wake up that prick Bob Job number 2: Spark up a wee rolly-up and watch the TV Job number 3: Go collect giro off the bru Job number 4: Buy a copy of The Scottish Sun for the fitba results Job number 5: Run 1/2 an ounce across to Broughty-Ferry in the Nova without the local fuzz catching up I suspect that once this love affair with American style gangsters is over we'll get the British version.... can't wait :-(
I'll give this game a 9.9.... its damn near perfect... here are my only pitfalls: 1) Why would they force you to get a cell phone to play multiplayer??!?? 2) The top of the screen goes off my TV Screen, hmm, I can't see the words sometimes. The rest of the game is flawless, I will be playing this for a long time. Finally a game that sits with my top favorite games: (In no paticular order) - Super Mario Bros - Mario 64 - Madden 08 - Doom II - GTA 4 - Halo 2
In the game you have to do 2-3 missions before your given a cell phone. The phone is used a menu tool and the multiplayer menu is only accessible (as far as he says) from that cell phone. So before you can play multiplayer you have to play the game for 30mins or so.
I dunno, I think its a little fanboyish to get upset that your favorite game isn't on someone elses list of favorite games.
Are you serious??? That game was visually appealing, I played it once and never touched it again. I was sad to see what they did to it. I like games I can play over and over again, doom 2 I could, it was amazing.... doom 3, too much emphisis on graphics, not as much on gameplay. Plus it was too damn dark all the time. Doom 1/2 used darkness sometimes, not all the time.
The only thing on that list that I would question is Halo 2 over 3, or 1, but that's me. Maybe Halo 2 holds good memories for him. For a second, I thought he mean't a REAL Cell phone. That would have been goofy.
Pretty much. Very boring expansion if you ask me. I loved Doom 3 for the atomosphere and I quickly settled down into the feel of the game. It may not be the deepest FPS or the most original but it did have a great feel to it. EDIT: Just while we're on about GTA4. When I started playing it my rating would've been about a 5 which grew to 8 upon entering multiplayer and grew further to a 9 as I've progressed in the game. Over 26% completed now and loving it so far.
i can't believe i'm watching tv in a video game. it's hilarious! it's been like 15 mins and i'm still in the apartment. xD
They make good jokes, better than most on actual Tv (which is kinda sad...) The best so far IMO are the prius-like car and the cellphone ads.
lol, some of the jokes couldn't be on tv. too bad "Waning with the Stars" isn't a real show. i bet it would get great ratings.
You can watch TV in his house? Thats neat, most games don't go into that level of immersion. I personally liked the talk shows they had in Vice City, too. After a while I heard most, if not all, of them though.
