after playing through it and getting 100% like I do for all GTA games, this one isn't even as good as San Andreas. It's better in the way that 100 million dollars spent on development makes something better. But it's not as fun. The game took itself too seriously and dropped many of the fun things that made past GTA stories better. They also took a step back by removing the RPG elements in San Andreas. I'm not just talking about player customization, but how over the game you had to improve your gun, driving, fighting, or flying skills. Niko knows how to do everything like he's a Steven Segal movie character. So I agree that once the honeymoon wears off for this game and people look at it clearer, it doesn't live up to even past games in the franchise. It's even slipping down the XBL charts to Halo 3 and CoD4 again. So it doesn't even have the longevity that you'd think a 10 overall game would have.
I fail to understand the logic of how a GTA game without a tank could ever get a 10 anyway. Niko + jetpack = win
yeah, no tank OR plane... some of the main things i enjoy aren't so much the missions but stuff like surfing the web, the commercials, and watching tv. i don't think i'll get the achievement for beating it in under 30 hours.
Personally, I fail to see how a GTA game could get a 10 period. GTAIII and its spawn are 1 part mediocre driving game + 1 part God awful shooting game. Whereas GTAIV is 1 part mediocre driving game, 1 part decent shooting game. I dunno, I don't think any of them deserve the praise they get personally. In all honesty, I vastly preferred Crackdown to all the GTAs.
:nod::nod: yes, crackdown is freaking awesome. i still need to get the last few achievements. but i love that game.
Hmm, agreed Crackdown makes me feel funny in my special area. With that in mind, perhaps a merger between the two would create... CRACK THEFT AUTO The agent turns bad... looks to live the REAL American Dream. Imagine that! An eastern European scaling walls with realistic HAVOC physics throughout - taking out Mafia bosses by throwing cars at them!!!! What building up CJ SHOULD have been. OMFG I've reached an epiphany. This could be the most awesome series of games ever created. I need a tissue.
I'm enjoying GTA 4 a lot but it does seem a lot easier than the previous ones... So far there's nothing difficult about it at all and I'm almost done with the main story missions and most of the side stuff. No tanks?!!! Are you serious? I was hoping I was going to unlock them at some point soon.... Reminds me a lot of GTA 3 as other here are also saying... Has the same feel and a lot of parts of the city are very similar. So far I'd say Vice City is the leader of the pack... Still got a way to go in this one though.
It's a nice game, finished the story in 38 hours but the game still has the same annoying graphical glitches of getting stuck between cars and walls or story characters not getting into a car or endlessly trying to walk around something and getting stuck. Also the game was waaaayy too easy, i mean i didn't have to figure out anything and most missions you could actually just barge in gun ho style as soon as you could buy bodyarmour and an assault rifle, very little skill required. I'd say an 8 at most but far from perfect.
you have no idea how many of our home videos he sent to Rockstar. Even the one with the cute bunny, the nun and the melting ass-candle :|
Either I entered the Rockstar Social Club competition to complete the game 100% in the first 2 weeks or I did what Barc0de said. Either one I'm happy to go along with .
