Its very good Yakumo Jsut a few nit-picks on the Dracula X review Richter is prounounced phonetically as "Rickter", as its German. This iteration of the game follows the Super-Famicom/PC Engine Duo Dracula X, not the Megadrive version. Oh, and the sound-test is available in the PSX version also, you jsut need to access it via the Master Librarian. Sorry, the fanboy in me couldn't let it rest ^_^ Otherwise, great show as always
I think you meant Gunstar Heroes instead of Guardian Heroes for the Mega Drive or did you play some undiscovered tectoy stuff from brazil? ^O^ Anyway, I will download the show soon despite the fact that I'm not happy with the quality. The first few shows (without a DVD version) had a much better quality, I'd be appreciated if you could set this standard again. It wasn't DVD quality either, so this would not be a big thing, would it? ps: The "ch" in Richter is very hard to pronounce for a person who doens't speak german. Rickter is rather accent than native german language, I'd say its like the "hu" in human without the "u". So try to say Ri-h-ter:yatta:
I must say too, the show was very good. I liked the flying game quite alot And the sega Master System game made me smile, since Ihave played it on emulator, long ago. But another good rpg for the Master System is Golden Axe Warrior. And it seems to me, that in the SMS game, the action graphic engine reminded me of the Wonderboy 3 engine. And well, it was a good show
Really? I always thought it was based around the MD game due to the extra character Maria being in it. Also thanks for the tip on Richter's name. I wasn't too sure how it was pronounced so I just went with the English way:lol: Oops, yes that's right  Hmm ok well how about the same encoding but with a higher screen resolution? This would make it look much more clear when set to full screen. Also it will still enable slower CPUs to play the file without stuttering. So it's actually a good game? I remember it getting slaged back in it's day by the UK mag, Mean Machines. I'll have to give it a try. Yakumo
Yes, I think it is a very Zelda 1 like RPG (well Zelda isn´t an rpg) , but in graphic there are some similarities. Some of the enemies , look like graphic glitches (perhaps an error in the rom I played recently ). But you have one attack button, the other gives you, your inventory screen. to talk to people then you just go into them, then there will come a box up with text. and the music is not bad at all. So try it out, since magazines does at times have other opinions than the gamers themself. Since when I played C64 , and Amiga games when I was younger, it wasn´t the graphics I was looking at, it was the story, game control, hit collision test and so forth. Graphics came last in my book, so did sound. But try it out, since I have just played a couple of minuttes of it . And there isn't a dodgy collision detection , and so forth, of what I played. But try it out, and you can always see if it is good when it comes to your opinion. I even remember a friend I had back then, he played the game, since he had it to his SMS. And he liked it too. Heck, I will even recommend trying Spellcaster out, since that game I liked alot when I had my SMS. And heck back then my english was not even good at all back then. If I remember right, then my English was horrible. So try both out
Maria was a character from Dracula X on the Super Famicom/Pc Engine Duo (a background story character. Playable in the Duo version if rescued, I believe). The character you are thinking of is Eric Legarde, who is actually a guy! He looks very femminine though, and I thought he was a lady until I read the game instruction mannual (having never paid attention at the character select screen).
Awesome layout. A really good retro core session. I always heard that the saturn version of Dracula X wasn't quite as good as the PSX one. It does have a lot more stuff, though. What's your stance on this? Shooterwise, I've seen Cotton Boomerang and find it absolutely awesome. Good title to review. I own the western version of Moero! Justice Gakuen. We play it a lot at my place - and indeed, it lacks the boardgame. Damn. Overall, quite a good show.
Great show as always, very nice lineup this time as well. One thing though, is it just my pc or is the audio on the intro out of sync ?
Hmm, the Saturn version does loose SOME of the transparencies and does have a little slowdown in places thanks to sloppy programming but I still prefer it over the PSX version which I played first. The added sections and music plus the ability to play as Ritcher and Maria straight away really give it that little extra. However if looks are the most important thing then the PSX version is best. no and yes. The music is out of sync but that's due to me miss timing it :banghead: The audio is put over the video after the video tracks are edited together. The Retro Core introduction is in fact 3 clips edited together. Yakumo
You know I was thinking, have you considered including a segment on the virtual console for retro core? Such as how well the emulation is and such.
Hey, have you been looking in to my brain ?! I filmed that yesterday !! That is far too spookey ! Yakumo
Im scared myself, I guessed the last segment which was virtua fighter history disc. It's worth making requests though, I appreciate when you did that final fight comparison one, which was well done.

You are freaking amazing Yakumo lol. I can barely edit together a short flash video, let alone what you do.
And if you knew how long it takes you wouldn't want to do it even if you could  I'm going to release the download version in a slightly higher screen resolution this time to see what people think. Download size will be bigger but still under 400 meg I'm hoping. Yakumo
