LOL :lol: You do have a big point there Importaku but thats over now and it was more for an early release of a game that never happened really
simply because the game looks (very) good; I'll chip in as we should have some decent cash to mess around with soon.
So how exactly do you guys want to do this? I figure eight hundred bucks, so if we get 16 guys to donate $50 each, that'll take care of the money. But, who wants to hold the cash? Should be someone we trust who we know won't rip us off, like a moderator on the board or something. Who can actually dump the rom? I'm sure at least one of you guys has the equipment to do this.
I probably have all the equipment needed (Super Wildcard DX2 and E(E)PROM reader).. but as he lives in the Netherlands it wont help There surely must be members here with the needed equipment who lives closer.
If you guys want, I can hold the cash since I have dealt with simon_belmont personally on many occasions.
$50 is a bit high for me, but it depends on how many end up donating. I would have thought more than 16, but maybe not.
I'll chip in. How about getting say 50 of us to 'put in the pot' then it works out at say < $20 each?? I've got most of the backup devices for the snes if it need dumping.
I would say why dont we get a total head count of those who want to help out. After a week or so we count it up and devide whatever the price is by that many people. If its to high then im sure people will back out. But if we get enough people in on this that we can do it for like 10-15$ per person then we should be on it.
Ok, sounds good so far. Simon, would you be comfortable letting Dream TR hold the money? Also, would you be comfortable sending the proto in the mail to someone close to you who could dump the rom? It would be ideal if we could find someone in the same country, of course. For the rest of us, sound off if you want to get up on this. This is who I count so far: Babu FirestarterCL kammedo wombat idc Wheela arnoldlayne Taucias Karsten Marv Micjohvan Hawanja (me) That's 12 right off the bat, seeing how we could almost raise three grand for a Sonic demo, I'm sure we can get a measly $800.
No problem guys. As for the amount we would all donate, don't worry about that now. The more people we get, the less we would all actually have to give to reach the goal.
Still in for now, just depends on the price. I'm hoping we can get it down to around $30/person... but I could maybe do more.
Hi all, still reading this. I hope somebody wants to make the trip I would like to dump the game at my gameshop it is in holland close to the German border. I really dont want to take the risk loosing the game in the mail...
