Wait, I just checked this out. I thought it was a Castlevania game, not remembering the video Simon_Belmont posted some time ago. I read it as "Simon Belmont Nightmare Busters"! Doh. I'll still donate, but i am not really interested in the game any more. How disappointing (sorry! :lol
the double-edged sword, money or glory? Surely looking forward to any complete/near complete unreleased offering. People who have the balls to dump such rare subjects have my respect, sort of like a modern Promitheus, bringing fire to man =)
So that's 18 people now, right? The revised list: Babu FirestarterCL kammedo wombat idc Wheela arnoldlayne Taucias Karsten Marv Micjohvan Hawanja (me) Ashpool graciano1337 jccochez TheRedEye Kal_Yoshika Barcode Any more peeps? The more we get, the cheaper it is per person. Would be great if we could get it down to $25 or so.
Well another 14 people would be 32...so $25 each (or say $26 once you add paypal fees for those paying that way). Or another 22 makes it $20. Wow, the maths! Slightly OT..but how, if at all, can one play roms on an actual snes? Just use a copier? Can you get bare carts you can load roms onto? Or those flash carts that I've seen for other consoles, but in Snes flavour? Clearly I know nothing about this, and I detest emulation really, so would prefer to play it on a snes, if we get this sorted of course. (Props either way to Simon_B though, the possibility is cool as it is!)
headt to tototek.com, they have blank snes cart for sale that can be loaded with games up to 64Mbs at reasonable price. otherwise a copier is great if you still trust floppies nowadays
All my floppies still work ok. As long as the game doesn't use a special chip like SA-1 it would be easy to play on a real system. I'm interested but 50$ is too much for me. Hopefully we can get some more people interested and bring the cost per person down.
ok i talked with Simon today, i live 250km away from him and i have the devices to dump the game. Simon seems ok with that, now what you guys think about?
Sweet, now we just need to get more peeps to commit, so far we're at about 21, so that would make it roughly $38 usd per person or so. This is affordable to me (actually I was prepared for fifty myself.) But the more the merrier.
Has Simon_Belmont even confirmed a price point he'd want us to raise? We need one set in stone before we can see the true goal. I never saw him personally agree to $800 is all. I contributed before, and I possibly could again depending on the amount needed, so count me in as a maybe.
He suggested the $800 figure, so I assume he's cool with it. We still need more people, if we want to get it down below $30 USD, com'on folks, step foward!
