Well, they never tried to hide that some of the stuff are "scripted". What about the Suzuki Samurai trying to save the Range Rover? Didn't anyone thought that wouldn't work? As for the budget, why don't BBC releases all series on DVD / Blu-ray?
So who saw last nights Top Gear? Same as every year they had the awards but the highlight must be the new Toyota, oops sorry, Lexus sports car. Not only is the car stunning but the "Mad World" effects used in the video are very nice. Yakumo
Yep, that was nuts. That whole episode was a little weird. I like that they played it off as budget problems, but regardless it seemed like a "stuff we didn't fit into other episodes"-episode. Yes, the Toylexusota was quite insane. I hope they redo the hot lap in the dry!
Issue really is number of discs I would imagine. Granted season 10 was officially released in the U.S. and the season 11 is going to be released soon. You should of seen how shocked I was when I was at comic con last year and the bbc booth had no top gear stuff. In fact almost every single person who went there asked if they had top gear stuff and they said no. I mean that's insane. It's ridicules how bbc america handles the show. They cut 15min out for commercial and take their sweet ass time to show a current season. To top it off you have to have digital cable to get bbc america, so if you have regular cable your soa. Now you would think they would just cut out the interview segment, but nope they even cut out some good bits from the show. It is also disappointing that the dvds do not have any extras. Though I would imagine with having to cram all those shows on as little dvds as possible, its a given.
Has anyone seen the new UK Renault ads? Apparently 5 electric cars for 2010 and they really do look space aged. I'm not sure if I like the look of them, but pretty impressive. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MmnV9tAFxE Line-up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOceI7wisYc Apparently it is a partnership with Nissan, so we will not only see these in Europe. Edit: also they will not be producing the entire range for 2010, it will be by 2013.
fuckinell james mays segment on the latest episode was some seriously boring stuff.. he really has the dryest sense of humour ever doesnt he.. :-(
It depends upon where you are from I guess. I find him funny in a dry sort of way  Richard Hammond is the lest funny of the 3 IMO.
Clarkson annoys me these days. The writers are exaggerating their personalities a little too much IMO.
DirecTV's The 101 Network channel has Top Gear episodes 1-6 in HD on their OnDemand section(channel 1101).
to be honest i dont find either one of them terribly funny on their own, its not untill theyre grouped together that they really shine  theyre always preying on eachother which i find hilarious since thats the way I am with most of my friends (in a healthy, funny, non-hostile way).. btw was the antarctica episode really released on blu-ray, cant find it anywhere.. what region is it?
There's a Blu-ray download link for that on the pirate bay. It's where I had to go to see the North Pole episode. I couldn't beleive that I had never seen that after seeing every Top Gear since the 90's. Yakumo
Top Gear is back this Sunday, just saw an advert for it which was nice so can't wait to see new series.
I doubt it. The place where I get UK TV from has some great cappers. They normally get the shows up on the net with fast download speeds within 24 hours. that's good enough for me and this year it's in HD isn't it? Yakumo
I subscribe to Inside Sim Racing (i like sim racing) on youtube and they have a GT5 e3 special where you can see plenty footage throughout the video of the cars racing on the Top Gear test track. If you goto 34:56 straight away you get a great look at the test track and its looks really good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdH8tFpkKYA&playnext_from=TL&videos=_1160GC6yJQ&feature=sub
