Beharius, i have also sent this to you in a PM, but thought i post it here also for other people to comment on.....

If you are finding it hard to source the Scart female connection sockets why not remove the female scart connection altogether and replace it with a 8 pin mini din socket connection instead and the people who have scart cables can use these 8 pin to scart cables......

have the best of both worlds then, people with XRGB-mini's can connect straight to the TORO and people with scart can get one of those adapter cables, probably work out cheaper for production of the TORO as well, what do you think???

What's the best option for converting the VGA port to something useable on a PVM? I see that there are VGA to BNC adapters, is that my only option?

EDIT: I see this listing. Would this help me any? I have scart switch boxes, so I'd rather use this than to go the BNC route if it'll work as intended

EDIT: This BNC cable is probably the best bet. Will this do? http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-Ft-Premiu...=US_Video_Cables_Adapters&hash=item35c426cc47

An 8 pin on the TORO would need an 8 pin to 8 pin cable.

XRGB mini has an 8 pin RGB input. Either euro or japan scart uses an adapter.

Well the way i mention above accommodates both groups of people (people who have XRGB-Mini's and people who still want scart). All people who have an XRGB-Mini would have the din to scart cable already and people who dont just need to buy the cable so they can plug in there scart cable to their display.

The reason i mentioned this method is because Beharius said his finding it harder and harder to source the female scart sockets his currently using, so i mentioned this 8 pin mini din socket as an alternative

Yes, you can, however if you want to use the scart input of the Xrgb you need a Euro to JP scart adapter since Toro has a Euro spec Scart.

    I Beharius,

I have already an Hanzo scanliner with extra scanliner cable for pc , this one support a resolution like 1024x768

What happened if I use this new Toro with a PC and a resolution like 1024x768

( Pc 1024x768 => Toro with extra scanliner cable for pc )

Is this Toro can output RGBS in 480P via Euro Scart connector when input is 1024x768 ?

    It is necessary to have a 480P ( 640x480 ) input resolution ?

Thanks and sorry for my bad English , I wish you understand my questions

How does the 480p signal get sent through Scart? I know that Beharius confirmed it will, but someone on Neogaf is telling me I'll be disappointed, and since all I've ever read is Scart not being able to push 480p, I'm curious too...

480p can be used with upscalers only, like the Xrgb but not TVs with scart. It doesn't upscale or downscale anything. So it must be fed with 480i or 480p sources. When you feed it with 1024x768, then the output will be the same, however since there is no thicker scanlines choice, no scanlines are seen on the screen. It can't downscale to 480p from 1024x768.
    It's optimized for 640x480.

Trying to work out if I need this. I currently have a DC RGB SCART cable which works nicely on my PVM.
I also have a VGA box and a VGA to SCART cable that allows me to use 31Khz on my xrgb mini, so don't think this will give me anything other than maybe a little bit of convenience of only needed one device.
What does the extra cable give me if I go for the $85 option?

Yeah, less cable. You can plug a PC or other consoles(like xbox360) with 480p output, though you have a mini...
