TORO - Advanced Video Box for the Dreamcast!

Toro has arrived safe and sound (thanks for writing "cable value 20 €" in the package so it could pass the customs without a problem), happy with it so far, great quality, wouldn't expect otherwise ;-)

I recently got a 21'' Sony Trinitron Multiscan CPD-G500 CRT monitor which has dual video inputs, VGA + RGBS BNC. Toro works wonders on this monitor via VGA, but I also use this monitor with an old desktop PC and I want to avoid having to swap VGA cables everytime I want to give the Dreamcast a go, and a VGA Switch/KVM is out of question as it would only degrade the signal.

I'm planning on using the RGBS BNC connectors with the Dreamcast using Toro's SCART output, and leave the VGA for the desktop. Retrogamingcables.co.uk sells some SCART to RGBS BNC cables, but I'm not quite sure which one to buy: https://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/index.php?route=product/search&search=scart bnc

I'd go for the male SCART cable, as the connector on Toro is female, but one of the two female cables has a built-in sync separator. Is the sync separator necessary for the Toro, or can I go with the first male SCART to BNC cable without worry?

 

Toro recieved yesterday. Beautifully crafted. Works great with frameister xrgb mini. Flawless picture on HDTV. Thank you for making these.

 

No need for a sync separator. It can work directly with a scart to bnc (RGBS) cable.

Well I was think of upgrading it myself. Send it you back will cost roughtly the price of the Hanzo (thanks to canadian post).
I'm trying to understand what's the missing chip. I think what tthe other two are, and what the missing one is suppose to do, but since you shaved them I suppose you don't want to let people know what they are.
