It's a combination of Hanzo and Kenzei with less features. It can output RGBS (with Csync), which is compatible with upscalers like the Xrgb Mini or European TVs with Scart connector. So you can play 15khz RGB compatible games too.
although Hanzo can output 15khz RGB, TVs with VGA input can't display it.

It's delayed because of the holiday then stuck in the customs, so I just received the pcbs. We will start to ship them from next week. Tracking info will be written on the paypal transaction page when it's shipped. Sorry again for the delay. Thanks for your patience...

    HAPPY NEW YEAR to ALL!

Hello beharius!, I have just ordered a TORO video box for the Dreamcast and a RGB Scart Male to Male cable on your website - had to order them separately. I look forward to using it with my Dreamcast! I'll be using it with an 1080p HD LCD display and I am not sure if I like scanlines, but if I do I will order the SLR later so I can adjust the thickness.

Question#1: Would I be able to use the TORO & SLR & XRGB-Mini units together(for the increased scanline control)?

Now I have been looking/reading about the Micomsoft XRGB-Mini Framemiester for some time and have decided to pull the trigger on it(buy it), Regarding the quote of yours above, I would like to buy this cable you mentioned in preparation for the arrival of my XRGB-mini unit but I do not see it on your beharbros website, can you point me to it(link) please?

Question#2: Where on your site can I buy the euro scart (male) to mini din cable(for the XRGB-Mini)?

Thanks for your help, its a little hard to understand all the display limitations of the dreamcast on modern TVs and the best equipment to get around that. :)

You can use the SLR with the TORO, however if you plan to own an XRGB no need for another scanline generator.
Also no need for the thicker scanlines, it's for using other consoles/PC with higher resolutions.
I will list the XRGB to Scart cable soon on the site. I'm waiting for the parts. Also we are currently very busy with the Toro preorders.it will take some time. Thanks.

Thank you very much for the information beharius and quick response!, that helps a lot, I've got your site bookmarked now so I will be checking back to order that cable when its available. Thank you very much for making a high end custom Dreamcast RGB box such as the high quality TORO - can't wait to enjoy it as I'm currently still using composite to the HD TV with just a brightener/sharpener type pass thru for the DC and it still looks terrible and is hard to play games. lol :) I have a Pelican RGB/VGA box for the DC but it has a short in the cord it seems as I have to bend it just right for it to display, lol, so I don't use it with it's poor build quality. Saw the Adam Koralik video review of the TORO on youtube last night and he can't say enough about how good it is, and he explained it all very well.

If you are talking about the XRGB-mini wouldn't a (DE-15 (male) + 2 x RCA (male)) => Mini-DIN-8 (male) yield a "higher quality" and more reliable connection?
Unless this is squarely targeted at people who use SCART switches.

Toro can do both, RGBS from VGA is possible. Scart is just tidier when building, you don't have to combine audio video cables into one connector. I use a good quality shielded VGA cable, one side has the scart and the other has a Mini Din.
I built a cable for the Atomiswave which is a VGA to Mini Din with the RCA plugs, in order to combine these two cables I used a small plastic DIY box.

Of all your Dreamcast VGA boxes, this one is the one I need if I want to feed progressive VGA to the XRGB right? I'm looking for a new Dreamcast VGA box since I now have an XRGB which doesn't support VGA input.

Yes it supports both progressive and interlaced modes for the XRGB.

Sweet! Looks like this is the I need to get then! Can't want to see what VGA upscaled via the XRGB looks like! I read you can power the device though the Dreamcast's connector, do you need to do anything special or do you just plug it in?

It's self powered, no need for anything else.
