I found a plugin for NullDC that will let you play Naomi games!!! http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0geu.n1U.../naomi-emulator-running-virtua-striker-2.html
i recommend makaron, it's an impressive emulator(both naomi and dc) all games run very good at 60fps, i've tested 35 naomi games and they are all working
OMG, I see GoH's mate succeeded in his dastardly plan to create a zombie after all! What a seriously dozy looking dude! h: Meanwhile, back OT the cabinet is looking good and is awaiting a top box from Sega Shed. Images to follow, but I am away for a couple of days.
parris...thnx for pointing me in the right direction.! I need to purchase all of the golden rubber stoppers inside the machine and, unfortunately sega charges an arm and leg for these parts! silly piece of rubber = 10$ each
Some guy at work paid me 20 bucks to get him a copy of some tax software, so I've since considered myself pro.
Sorry to rain on your parade but the shifter is on the wrong side for an Initial D cabinet. Even the US ones had it on the left and IMO it feels more natural.
The ones in Brazil (US imported) is on the right. Pics taken by me some time ago (Sorry cellphone didn't like the brightness...) Initial D 4 Inital D 4 next to EA Sports Nascar Racing (not confuse it with Nascar Arcade)
Hi, don't panic! It's not even the genuine Initial D dashboard mate. It's from Sega Touring Cars. However, shifters can be on either the left or the right if it is a DOUBLE unit ;-) To purchase a complete Initial D cabinet can cost somewhere in the region of £1200. I've seen empty cabs go for £200 (in really bad condition mind!), but then you have to track down some pretty expensive parts and would be lucky to get them all. The type of cabinet that Initial D uses is a pretty universal Sega driving cabinet. The basic frame and structure of the unit comes from things like Sega Rally etc. However, the internal parts change considerably as did the side panels, dashboard, wiring looms and PCB inside. Whether you have a Model 2A CRX motherboard (Sega Rally) or a Chihiro motherboard (OutRun 2) the model of cabinet I have gone for will work, when re-wired and some parts swapped around. That's the reason I went for it! I bought a Sega Touring cabinet with (wait for it) 'Jambo Safari' in it! Yuk! So, once that had all been stripped out I started sourcing the Initial D bits and pieces. So far it's cost effective and I have sourced a dashboard in the UK, but I am doing it bit by bit, piece by piece. The most expensive parts are 'card reader' and 'force feedback'. Just for FF could cost me £350! Don't worry about raining, this is a 'project' cabinet! I'm not and never have passed it off as a 'genuine' Initial D cabinet. When I am finished, it will be as close to the real thing as humanly possibly without spending £1200! For anyone interested, I have been very lucky and obtained a lot of genuine parts fairly cheaply, some for free, yet I would never go this route again! If you want Initial D, buy an actual Initial D cabinet and do it up rather than buy something like Jambo Safari and rework the entire unit as it's hard work! h:
