I like the menu style. Similar to Mega Everdrive. Would just prefer he worked on features. B to exit folder. Auto select gdi/cdi within folder. Return to menu from within game.

Awesome! Is there any reason it would not work for TOSEC set?

I have no problem with that MS-DOS menu. The only thing I wished is that the background wasn`t that painful blue color. Black color and white/green/yellow text would be just fine.

No, as long as it is a proper dump it should work. Btw, I think trurip and tosec are the same, redump is the one to avoid for Dreamcast.

The shrinked images will certainly work with gdemu, but idk about USB gd-rom, I've never used one. Normally, if it doesn't check for the file sizes it should be fine. What I'll do is convert to iso and remove the zero-padding without altering the TOC.

Shrinked images work fine with usb-dgrom. That's all I use. Every game I've tried plays OK.

But how do you shrink them? I will not extract and rebuild them, I'll only remove padding, the disc structure should appear the same to the drive, except some sectors it should never try to access on the first place won't be present.

Not sure if its related, but I shrunk/optimized my gdi's with swat tools specifically; gdiopt.exe. These optimized gdi images only worked on one of the early firmware version of USB-GDROM. I have not checked to see if they work in more recent firmware updates.

Probably uses gdiopt that's part of ISO Make pack for dreamshell.

It's what I used and UGC worked fine.

Edit: beaten to it from above.

Could you write the content of such an optimized gdi please? Literally the text in the gdi file.
Also the approximate file size of each track.

    Thank you.

Could you provide the original gdi too?

    EDIT:

It seems it only converted the bins to isos. I can do much more than that. I probably could save around 280MB more on the image you posted.

So I'm right, it only converts the bins to iso?

You can actually remove the zeropadding and it still works fine, on gdemu at least but there's no reason why USB gd-rom couldn't (firmware update may be needed). DreamShell through SD/G1 should also easily support it.

Mine Does the same thing except it will only work maybe 30-50% of the time.
No idea what the issue is or how to fix it.

I had this from the getgo, v1.0 board here. It was the USB enclosure that was the issue, UGC seems to be picky as hell when it comes to enclosures.

I found USB2 enclosures woked best.

Basically what I'm saying is the UGC has issues with certain USB chipsets.

Okay thanks! Changing to a USB 2.0 stick worked.
Turns out my previous one was USB 3.0 but didn't have the usual blue plug, so I didn't know.

Just an update on this. I finally received an email from MNEMO that he sent me an invoice to my PayPal account, but I never actually got an invoice. I've been trying to work with him the last 4-5 days to get a new invoice but it's been a struggle trying to get anything out of him.

Another update: Finally able to pay for it.

Paid for a V5 two weeks ago. I have no idea if it was shipped or when it will arrive, but I am sure that it will.
